Locking Parklands
Affordable Homes in Weston-super-Mare
Part of the strategic regeneration of the former RAF Locking base
We’ve secured full planning permission for two complementary schemes at Locking Parklands – a new neighbourhood being brought forward as part of the Homes England masterplan.
Designed for Curo, the proposals deliver 30 affordable homes across two adjacent parcels, supporting a wider vision for walkable, green, and connected living on the edge of Weston-super-Mare.
Location: Weston-super-Mare, Somerset
Typology: New build housing – apartments and houses
Client: Curo
Status: Phase 01 has planning (Full) & phase 02 has planning (RM)

We are currently working through the technical delivery of both phases.
The joint schemes are part of the Locking Parklands masterplan – a character area shaped by design codes that draw from the former RAF site and surrounding village typologies.
The first site, now approved, delivers 9 affordable apartments on a key corner along Bowen Road. Designed to form a strong urban edge at the threshold of the development.
The second phase, a Reserved Matters application, brings forward 21 homes. Soft landscaping, varied house types, and a carefully structured layout ensure continuity with earlier stages.
Together, the two applications provide 100% affordable housing, contributing to a long-term ambition for a liveable, sustainable, and design-led extension to Weston-super-Mare.
