Locking Parklands is a key phase in the transformation of the former RAF Locking base into a sustainable new neighbourhood.

Appointed by Curo, RHaR has developed two adjacent housing schemes within the wider masterplan - brought forward as complementary applications forming a single, integrated vision.
We’ve secured full planning permission for 9 affordable apartments at Locking Parklands - the first of two adjacent sites forming part of a wider strategy for this growing neighbourhood.

Brought forward for Curo, the two schemes sit within the Historic Core character area of the former RAF Locking base. Both respond to a robust Design Code, combining structured layouts, soft landscaping, and a familiar local materiality.

The now-approved apartment block defines a key corner on Bowen Road, while the Reserved Matters scheme proposes 21 houses around a shared street, continuing the established rhythm and walkable scale of earlier phases.

Together, they deliver 30 affordable homes and support the long-term vision for Locking Parklands as a sustainable, connected and landscape-led community.
