This application proposes a modest two-bedroom dwelling on a tight, underutilised rear plot in Knowle West. Developed through pre-application engagement and local policy alignment, the design delivers a low-impact form that complements its residential surroundings.
The new home adopts a simple pitched volume with a room-in-the-roof layout, maintaining neighbour privacy while maximising daylight, internal efficiency, and external amenity. The material palette references the surrounding context through textured red brickwork and zinc roofing.
