This project brings forward the sensitive redevelopment of a prominent site in the heart of Peckham.
The approved scheme replaces two deteriorating buildings with a mixed-use development comprising seven residential apartments above flexible commercial space at ground and basement levels.
Set within the Peckham High Street Conservation Area, the scheme responds to the scale, rhythm, and materiality of the surrounding context. A carefully composed brick façade with deep reveals and considered detailing reinforces the streetscape while introducing a distinct architectural language.
The residential units are efficiently planned, with dual-aspect layouts, generous daylighting, and private amenity space. Commercial units provide flexible floorplates and animated street frontages to support activity along the High Street.
A fabric-first design approach underpins the sustainability strategy, ensuring long-term performance while balancing buildability and heritage context. The development contributes to the ongoing vibrancy of Peckham, delivering new homes and active frontage in a highly accessible location.
